The weekend has brought out some top riding and favourable results for Plan B Racing Team.

The riders took the opportuity to get some 'match-fitness' under their belts ahead of the upcoming Road Series' Canberra Tour with some local races around Lancelin and Wanneroo north of Perth this weekend.
Saturday's racing saw Anthony Giacoppo take a commendable 3rd place amongst a competitive field in the Annual Lancelin Criterium which was won by a former Plan B rider and associate Luke Durbridge.
On Sunday a larger contingent of the team split into an A and B team for the annual Peter Clark Memorial race, sponsored by Cyclemania. In a fantastic effort the race was brilliantly won by Plan B Racing's Michael Fitzgerald. Another of our riders, Elliot Wells finished in a competitive 4th place.
The race started at a frantic pace with Anthony Giacoppo (Plan B), Brad Robson (Plan B) and Michael Verhayen (Arbitrage) making the early breakaway. They lasted for about 60km before being reeled in by the peleton.
Michael then went solo with about 40km to go and was chased down by a chasing pack 5km before the finish line. Digging deep, Michael was able to outsprint the breakaway group across the line to win ahead of Luke Durbridge, Brad Hall and Elliott Wells, with Karl Evans taking 5th.

Again the team management is pleased with performance from all of it's team members as it was a true team performance that enabled the win. All the photos from the Peter Clark Memorial race are now online here.
