Team History - prior to 2010
Prior to 2010, The Plan B Racing Team was a Cycling WA High Performance program that provided elite development opportunities for athletes, coaches and management staff within a supported team environment. It catered for both male and female athletes in Road and Track cycling and was closely linked to the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) Cycling Program.

The program was a key component of the Cycling WA High Performance Development pathway and provided a goal for junior athletes to aspire to be part of a WA based team. The team represented WA cycling at a National and International level played a vital part in raising the profile and awareness of cycling in WA and benefiting the cycling community as a whole. The team was quite recognisable out on the road due to its striking kit design of orange, white and black.

Original team kit
The Team has seen a host of talented riders that have gone on to win and place at world championships and national road series events. Some of the notable riders for the team have been, Luke Durbridge, Josie Tomic, Sarah Kent, Adam Semple, Melissa Hoskins & Travis Meyer.

During 2009, the team performed very well in local and Australian races culminating in winning the last National Road Series event, the Tour de Perth, in November. This race particularly showed the maturity and selflessness of the team members when they all worked to ensure that Travis Meyer was protected and able to win the general classification against some very good teams and riders. Going into the final stage in 3rd place, Plan B's Travis Meyer blitzed the field to steal the winners jersey from the pack. Travis was ably supported from the team riders, Brad Hall, Adam Semple, Elliot Wells & Anthony Giacoppo.
